Dr. Schalk graduated from the University of Alberta with his DDS in 2014. Rather than pursue an orthodontics residency, Dr. Schalk travelled across the Americas, Europe, and Asia to learn from orthodontic experts. After limiting his practice to orthodontics, he became the youngest GP Invisalign Diamond provider in the world. Dr. Schalk is currently a Diamond Plus, Top 1% Invisalign Provider.

Dr. Schalk is the owner of three dental clinics. He speaks internationally and is an industry key opinion leader. He researches digital monitoring of clear aligners for the SRED Program, and previously served as a board member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners.

In 2020, Dr. Schalk created Clearly Aligned: an educational platform for general dentists. A natural talker and enthusiastic teacher, his passion is sure to inspire and encourage you on your road to Invisalign success.

Dr. Tracey Nguyen maintains a private practice 30 minutes outside of Washington, DC in Northern Virginia. In 2015, she was accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In 2016, she was honored with Top 25 Women in Dentistry by Dental Products Magazine. Also in 2016, she finished her graduate training at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, Washington.

She lectures on dentistry’s role in treating patients with dental malocclusions that are comorbid with airway and sleep issues. As a visiting faculty mentor at Spear Education, she frequently mentors the Airway Workshop by Dr. Jeff Rouse.

In 2016, she developed the Sleep and Airway Group, a local interdisciplinary group of doctors of various specialties. Her passion is to create an awareness of the dental intervention strategies available to her peers and to her community.

In 2020, she co-founded ASAP, Airway, Sleep and Pediatric Pathway. ASAP is an online mini-residency for pediatric dental sleep medicine.

It is no secret that she has an exceptional breadth of knowledge of Pediatric Airway Management. In 2021, she was honored as the Scientific Advisor for the prestigious advanced dental education center, the Kois Center.

Her diplomate status with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine has positioned her as one of the leaders in education for sleep and airway management for all ages.

She speaks all over the world and is currently in the Seattle Study Club curriculum. This program has over 150 study clubs all over the world.

Her social media platform brings clinicians all over the world together for a common cause. Her mission is to develop a better understanding of the complexities of the disease and bring like-minded professionals together to co-diagnose and treat.

Dr. Peggy Bown, a 2001 graduate of Dalhousie Dentistry, is the founder of Luxe Dental Group, a cutting-edge, fully digital clinic in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Her passion for dentistry ignited at the age of 14, when her own positive experiences as a patient inspired her commitment to making patients feel valued, informed, and involved in their care — a philosophy that remains central to her practice today.

In recent years, Dr. Bown has focused on advanced smile and bite reconstruction, completing hundreds of hours of continuing education in Invisalign, Smile Design, Sleep Medicine, and Implantology. She earned her LVI Fellowship in 2014 and became Canada’s first DSD Master in 2016. Her contributions to Align’s product development, including NIRI and Smile Architect, reflect her leadership in the field.

A sought-after speaker, Dr. Bown has lectured on digital workflows, smile design, and niche practice marketing both nationally and internationally. She has a YouTube channel and hosts a weekly podcast, The Truth About Dentistry. In 2021, she launched The Modern Dentist, a mentorship program offering personalized, live, and on-demand courses for general dentists.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Bown is passionate about women’s health and fitness, with a special interest in Taekwondo. She enjoys traveling and staying active with her two teenage daughters, Ella and Abby.

Dr. Preet Bhatti, originally from Maple Ridge, earned his B.Sc. and D.M.D. from the University of British Columbia. He has been practicing dentistry in Pitt Meadows since 2004 and was a Clinical Instructor at UBC's Faculty of Dentistry. He also serves on the BC College of Oral Health Care Professionals as a member of the Inquiry Committee.

Dr. Bhatti is one of our Clearly Aligned faculty members. At Pitt Meadows Dental Centre, he is committed to providing exceptional care and personalized treatment to all patients. The clinic is known for its welcoming environment and focus on patient comfort.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Bhatti enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the great outdoors. He is passionate about staying active and is an avid sports fan.

Dr. Hubert Ng has been with Airdrie Springs Dental since 2007, after earning his D.M.D. from the University of Saskatchewan. Born and raised in Calgary, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Calgary with honors degrees in Biological Sciences and Commerce.

Dr. Ng is a dedicated professional who stays current on dental advancements, with comprehensive training in orthodontics, Invisalign, oral sedation, and sleep apnea treatment. He emphasizes patient education, individualized care, and a commitment to building trust for a positive dental experience.

A focal point of Dr. Ng’s career is ensuring that patients achieve comfort and confidence in their smiles and overall oral health. He believes in providing one-on-one attention, allowing time for questions, and offering all treatment options to ensure each visit exceeds expectations.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Ng leads an active lifestyle. He enjoys competitive running, obstacle racing, and playing and coaching basketball. His commitment to health extends beyond dentistry into his personal life.

Dr. Aisling Whitaker is a general dentist and the owner of Bitehaus Dental in Toronto. She is also the CEO of Dental Hive, a mobile app designed to support and hire dental teams, and the CEO of The Bite School, an educational platform for dental professionals.

With decades of experience, Dr. Whitaker has consulted with numerous dental clinics on online marketing, smart systems, and team development. Her expertise helps practices streamline their operations and enhance patient care.

Dr. Whitaker's passion for innovation in dentistry is evident in her leadership roles and her commitment to advancing the field through technology and education.

Dr. Fazel, BSc, DMD, is the owner of three dental clinics and one of the world's youngest general practitioner Invisalign diamond providers. She has two degrees from the University of British Columbia, a bachelor of science in psychology from 2012, and a doctor of dental medicine from 2016.

Her passion is clear aligner therapy and orthodontics. As a firm believer in continuous learning, she has clocked in over 1,500 continuing education course hours in aligner therapy, Invisalign, and as well as occlusion and occlusal rehabilitation. Dr. Fazel's training has taken her across the world to learn from the best in orthodontics and pioneers in restorative dentistry such as Kenji Ojima, Willy Dayan, Kois and Spear.

Dr. Fazel firmly believes that orthodontics, both braces and clear aligner therapy, can help most patients keep their teeth, gums and jaw joints healthy over the long term; and she has already helped over 800 patients with Invisalign aligners. She has set out on a mission to help educator doctors and their teams on the benefits of clear aligners to bridge the orthodontics restorative gap.

Kelley has been a practicing RDH in Canada for almost 30 years, specializing in Orthodontics. She has successfully grown top 1% diamond plus orthodontic practices and coached both new and experienced providers to start or expand their digital orthodontic journey.

Over the past five years, Kelley has worked with innovative aligner companies in digital education roles, teaching software and biomechanics to orthodontic practices and grad students. She is a former Align Education Faculty member and speaker, and currently serves as the Lead Digital Treatment Planner and Education Executive for Clearly Aligned.

Her infectious enthusiasm motivates teams to embrace habit changes that accompany the adoption of digital solutions. Kelley is passionate about sharing her expertise in digital planning to foster clinical confidence, achieve excellent results, and promote practice growth.

Currently, she designs digital orthodontic cases for top providers and believes that high-level delegation is key to success and efficiency, allowing doctors to reallocate their time to family, hobbies, or more dentistry.

The mentorship and connections with Align Education Faculty in North America and Europe have been instrumental in her personal education, providing access to top mentors and courses exclusive to orthodontists. Through transformative education programs like Clearly Aligned, Kelley has educated herself to be a leader in the orthodontic space.

Tammy Staiger believes making an impact on dental teams will positively affect how patients are educated, resulting in better conversations and overall treatment acceptance. Her primary goal in patient care is to bring a level of compassion, connection, and communication to each person.

She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1995 and has extensive clinical experience in both private practice and a Dental Support Organization. Tammy is honored to be a member of the Align Global Faculty and has been speaking for Align Technology since 2013. She is the only member to have received the Align Faculty Hygiene Educator of the Year Award.

Her passion regarding the connection occlusion has on overall health, including periodontal disease, dental caries, abfractions, and airway issues is evident with her energetic presentation style. She enjoys sharing her knowledge both clinically with patients and with dental professionals.

She views each team member’s role as a linchpin in the patient experience and their practice’s success. Whether it’s for speaking engagements or personal reasons, Tammy loves to travel and meet new people. She lives in the Dallas, TX area and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Jeff is a marketing and business management professional with over 12 years of experience working with some of the world’s biggest digital influencers, as well as brands such as the NBA, Sony, and Amazon. Over his career, he has produced thousands of videos and generated over 1 billion views for his clients and talent. He also has a combined 1 million followers across his personal social media platforms. Jeff is the co-founder and owner of three digital consulting firms serving different industries around the world.
